This course provides the junior physical therapy students not only the
knowledge in the surface features, bony landmarks, and related soft tissues of
the living body, but also the skills used for clinical practice. It aims to
facilitate the clinical competence of assessment and treatment. Emphasis will
be placed on the observation and palpation skills through on-site
demonstration and reconfirmed by ultrasonography. Five major units are
covered, including inspection and palpation skills, application of
ultrasonographic images, upper quarter region, lower quarter region, and head
and trunk region. An additional web-based e-learning course is also required
to participate in except the classroom lectures.
